Brodick & Arran

Brodick is the largest village on the Isle of Arran.  It offers excellent local facilities including supermarket, pharmacy, post office and banks as well as gift shops, bars, restaurants and cafes.

There are plenty of leisure facilities including Brodicks 18 hole golf course, swimming at the Auchrannie Spa, tennis courts, crazy golf and cycle hire.  Arran Adventure is based in Brodick too and offers activities such as gorge walking, archery and segway.

The Island sits in the Firth of Clyde in between Ayrshire and Kintyre.

It is 10 miles wide and 19 miles long.  The coastal road is some 55 miles and offers a challenging cycle which takes around 6-7 hours.

2 ferrys service the island, one arriving in Lochranza and the main terminal in Brodick.

Arran is often decsribed as Scotland in minature for good reason.

Goatfell is the highest summit at 874m but there are sandy beaches with rugged coastlines and beautiful woodland.

There is an abundance of wildlife with pheasant, deer, otters and seals.
